Garv
Rigby
Co-Founder and a director of
star djs, he began as a radio
disc jockey until his calling
led him to live performance art.
One of his claims to fame is
DJing for U2 and the Beautiful
South among other acts for
private parties. Garvan has DJ'd
in almost every major
bar/disco/club over the last 12
years. Always fun on the mic, he
has a great music collection.
Currently specialising in
weddings over the last 8 years
where he is great at interacting
with a crowd and reading the
audience.
Garvan also specialises in 80s
Nights. Garvan is also music and
events director at star djs and
manages a number of dance and

John Donnelly
John has over 20 years experience as a
DJ ranging from 21sts to Weddings, drink
promotions and pub quizzes. John has
gigged in places such as The Vatican,
Club Sarah, Faces, Savannah, Catty Neds,
Drogheda Lodge and Bauhaus Nightclub
Naas from the opening night 8 years ago
to present. John specialises in
functions and is great crack no matter
what the event. |

Al Redmond
Al, has been djing since the early age of 16, with over
10 years of experience, he has worked in almost ever
county in Ireland, North & South. Al also works in our
office and deals with all the private functions from the
initial enquiry down to confirming the dj for the night
in question. Al has a keen ear for knowing exactly what
a dancefloor want to hear. Al is regarded as one of
Ireland’s best commercial nightclub dj’s and holds
residencies in two of Dublin’s best known venues,
Fireworks, Tamango and Club 92. To show how dedicated Al
is he played a half hour set at his own wedding last
year!!! Al spends most of his time djing at weddings
from referrals from clients who had guests at their own
weddings. |

Darragh O'Dea
Radio personality and wedding DJ specialist
Darragh O’Dea is renound for his legenday DJ
sets. Having worked in the industry since the
late 80s Darragh’s passion for the music has
never faltered. Darragh, a former DJ with 90s
station Pulse FM (remember them?) is now part of
the on-air team at Dublins 98. Having catered to
some of the biggest events in Ireland, Darragh
knows what it takes to entertain every crowd
from 20 to 2000. A DJ with almost 20 years

Fergal Rigby
Since Star DJs start-up in 1996, Fergal has been working
as a DJ and also has been frequently running
high-profile weddings.
As a DJ with Star DJs, Fergal gets great satisfaction
through working with a terrific mix of clients in
exciting up-beat locations and he thoroughly enjoys the
constant challenge of delivering stupendous floor
fillers!
His music career also includes 'VJ-ing' (video jocking).
This involves working with music, but also coordinating
graphics, DVDs and music videos.
Recently Fergal has concentrated on the Nite-club and
wedding scene with Star DJs.This includes DJ-ing at
numerous weddings nationwide and also DJ-ing in
club-land with Star DJs customers throughout Ireland. In
addition, he is a regular DJ at many socials and college
balls for third level colleges in Dublin.
However, his experience is not limited to Ireland alone
as he has DJ-ed abroad in exciting locations such as
Newport, Rhode Island, San Francisco and Santa Barbara,
California, the most exotic of these being Santa Barbara
in 2000 where he gigged outdoors, just 20 meters from
the Pacific Ocean with temperatures in the high 30s!

Tim Harrington
At 31 Tim has DJ'd for the last 9 years. Having
a background as a sound and lighting technician
has given him a great insight into the overall
appearance and sound of any event. Having lead
some of the countries biggest promotional
campaigns, played in some of the best
night-clubs and bars in Ireland and some of the
finest Hotels this Island has to offer, Tim has
a wealth of experience and an extensive
collection of music from old time favourites to
today's best hits to share with you for your big
day. Tim is a resident DJ at one of Dublin's top
southside venues, club 92. |

Dave Morrison
Dave has built up a wealth of experience in the music
business over the last twenty years. He initially played
guitar and keyboards in a number of bands, and has been
a professional DJ for the last six years. He specialises
in weddings and and parties, and carries an extensive
music library ranging from rock'n'roll to today's
charts. Many clients appreciate Dave's unobtrusive style
where the music speaks louder than the DJ! |

Mark Neilon
Mark is originally from Longford but is now
based in Laois, he has been working as a dj for
12 years and has been working with Star Dj's
since
1998 as a Wedding DJ. Unlike a majority of dj's
who begin their career playing at 21st birthday
parties or bars. Mark jumped straight into
playing at weddings and has never looked back.
He has played at almost 550 weddings over the
years and has attended conferences in the USA
and UK on the subject. He has played at weddings
in 29 out the 32 counties.
For Mark the main word when its comes to
weddings is "party" and that's the way he looks
at each wedding, the biggest party in a couples
life. |

Ronan is one of our new recruits. He joined the
company in 2004 after working with a number of

Malcom Ledder
Mal is a DJ with over 16 years experience in the
business. He joined Star DJ’s in 1998 and has a
wealth of experience in all aspects of the
industry. During his years with us he has
performed at thousands of different events
including drinks promotions, birthday parties,
corporate events and weddings. In the last seven
years he turned his attention to concentrating
on weddings. He is one of the company’s most
sought after specialist wedding DJ’s as his
reputation precedes him. He has performed at
many high profile VIP weddings including the
former Taoiseach, Albert Reynolds’ two
daughters. Mal has an extensive music collection
which he has built up over the years which
matches his portfolio of clients. He is an
extremely interactive DJ both on and off the

David Lessard - North
East DJ
David is our main wedding and corporate North
East DJ who covers from north Dublin all around
Meath, Louth, Cavan, Monaghan and the east of
Northern Ireland.
For David music is a passion and a vital aspect
towards making or breaking any occasion. He has
been DJing professionally for the last 10 years,
performing at weddings, corporate events,
fashion shows, charity fundraisers, horse races
etc. He has also been a radio presenter on
Dundalk FM 100 for the past 4 years, taking in a
Saturday afternoon slot from 2 - 4 pm.
He especially enjoys performing at weddings as
it appeals to all generations and he makes it
his mission to keep everyone on the dance floor
until the very end of the night!
